| WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THIS COURSE? |
In the unique social education course by Yellow Mat Wellness, you will walk away with a better understanding of the dynamics of race, power, and privilege from an intersectional perspective.
- Unpack your own internalized beliefs and assumptions about your racial identity and showing up to social justice work.
- Learn tools + techniques for creating grounded spaces for real conversation.
- Meet a diverse and engaged community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating change.- Cultivate new perspectives and frameworks for practicing mindful allyship.
This course is open to all. The course facilitators seek to offer content and dialogue that is decolonized, anti-racist, and intersectional in nature and be explored and unpacked in an honest, provocative, and engaging way.
We need more informed, educated, compassionate, and heart-centered allies in our schools, offices, hospitals, non-profits, and government organizations. This is an opportunity to get to the real-world work of creating allyship that heals, not harms.
